How To Get Married At City Hall Chicago
If you are looking for a dream courthouse wedding, then City Hall Chicago is a truly picturesque location. Conveniently located on Randolph Street, the beautiful building is the perfect location for your special day.
The popular spot is steeped in history, with couples choosing to get married there for over 100 years, and is also called Cook County Marriage Court. Their team is on hand to help you organize everything allowing you to focus on celebrating your love and commitment!
Getting to City Hall
City Hall Chicago is located in the heart of Downtown, which means it is very accessible from anywhere in the city. By car, the easiest way to get to the venue is to simply type “City Hall Chicago” into your GPS, which will give you directions directly there.
While there is parking available in downtown Chicago, it is limited and can fill up quickly. It is best to arrive as early as possible, but to guarantee your parking space we recommend using the SpotHero app, which allows you to book a spot in advance.
Gather Marriage Documents
To get married at the stunning City Hall Chicago, you need a valid marriage or civil union license. To get one, you need your official identification documents and pay the required fee of $60 – the application can be filled out online; however, you will still need to go in person to present your ID.
Once you have your license, you will need to bring it with you on your special day along with a valid ID and $10 in cash to pay the ceremony fee.
Here is their official website to obtain your marriage license in Cook County.
